 Abstact painting

Unintended Consequences, 30x40"

Jane Ewen is an abstract expressionist painter who's work is in collections both locally and internationally, including the Royal Bank of Canada.

Ewen's works evolve around color, texture and light. Each piece is imbued with power and mystery. Multiple layers are generated with the use of reflective, textured, poured, and scraped surfaces. Pieces are activated with energetic drawing. The visual nuance developed is rich and exciting. Intricate and complex statements develop,  weaving the eye through a thirsty matte finish.

" A painting is not a picture of an experience,

it is an experience"

Mark Rothko
